Extraction method: oil obtained by pressing from the seeds of various species of wild rose, primarily from Rosa moschata Herrm. Indications: it is used in cosmetics, mixed with other oils or pure, for dry and flaky skin or skin showing signs of ageing. Less indicated instead in case of oily and acne-prone skin. Traditionally it is considered a remedy of choice after sunburn and for the treatment of pigmented or irritated skin. Characteristics: it contains omega-6 fatty acids such as gamma-linoleic acid, and omega 3 such as linolenic acid, as well as oleic and palmitic acids. It has good amounts of provitamin A (especially beta-carotene) and trans-retinoic acid.
