The wool comes from sheep's wool or a blend of alpaca and wool: it's undyed, preserving its natural defenses (lanolin, which absorbs sweat, comforts the foot, and eliminates the sensation of dampness). These animal fibers, which exhibit excellent dexterity and durability, come from small farms in Latin America and New Zealand, washed on site with only water, and spun in an artisanal company in the Veneto region (unfortunately, wool from Italian sheep is unsuitable for spinning because its fibers are too short).
